This Clostridioides difficile Infection tool allows you to view historical CDI data for all NHS England Acute Trusts.

As Trusts vary in size somewhat, a direct comparison would be of little use, so all data is calculated to an equivalent rate of cases per 1000 beds. Data is for Community-onset, Healthcare Associated (COHA) infections, and Hospital-onset, Healthcare Associated (HOHA) infections. All CDI data is from gov.uk, and Bed Numbers are from NHS England data.

• The first chart shows the running total CDI cases over the previous 12 months (scaled to 1000 bed equivalent). This shows a figure that is more indicative of longer term trends in infections.

• The second chart shows monthly data (scaled to 1000 bed equivalent). Useful for a snapshot of current rates but not as useful for looking at longer term trends.

To use the chart:

Simply select up to 4 Trusts from the drop down menus below, and the infection data will be displayed on the charts.
